Local schools perform well in providing students for national colleges
Kilkenny college has moved up to 68th place out of the 400 schools surveyed in the Sunday Times School Guide.
The best schools guide measured the school’s success by surveying how many students go on to university or to third level.
Kilkenny College sends two thirds of its students onto university while the top ranking school in Ireland,
Laurel Hill Colaiste FCJ Limerick, has over 80% of its students study at third level.
Reflecting the national high ranking of a Gaelcholasite, the top school in Carlow is GaelCholaiste Ceatharlach.
