Local shelters to benefit from sleep-out to highlight homelessness

Funds raised from a sleep-out in Carlow last night will go to local shelters.

Mary White – who is the former Green TD for Carlow Kilkenny slept rough for the night to highlight homlessness and was joined by a number of locals in her efforts.

They’ve done it now for the past 5 years, staying out in freezing temperatures some years, but Mary told KCLR news this morning it’s nothing compared to what people on the streets live through.
