LOCAL SOCCER – Hanover Harps win KCLR Shield while Evergreen bow out of Leinster Junior Cup

Hanover Harps are the KCLR Carlow Shield champions after they beat St Pats Boys 2-0 in Hawkins Lane Tullow yesterday.

Meanwhile, Crettyard Utd are through to the final of the Med Bar Cup after their 2-1 defeat of New Oak Boys ‘B’ this afternoon.

In the McCalmont Cup in Kilkenny, there were wins for Freebooters A, Lions A, Newpark A, Thomastown B, Bridge United A, St Johns and Thomastown A.

Evergreen bowed out of the Leinster Junior cup after losing 2-1 to Kilbarrick United.

And Fort Rangers will meet Stoneyford united in a play-off for promotion to the Premier Division
