Local student needs your help getting treatment for a rare form of cancer

A young Carlow student needs your help to get treatment for a rare form of cancer.
17-year-old Shauntelle Tynan was diagnosed with Histio-sigh-tosis and will now have to travel to Texas in the United States for a full year of chemotherapy.
Shauntelle and her mother, Leona are hoping to raise around 100 thousand euro.
Speaking to KCLR Live this morning, the teenager says they’re hoping to reduce the chances of getting the rare disease again.
