A vast array of local talent will feature prominently in tonight’s Irish Film and Television Awards.
Kilkenny’s represented by Cartoon Saloon, who have been nominated for three awards, along with Dead Still, which is up for seven awards, and was written by local man John Morton.
While Carlow’s Saoirse Ronan is up for a Best Supporting Actress gong for ‘Ammonite’.
Fidelis Doherty, Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, says it’s great to have such strong local representation, We have such wonderful local talent and they’re all exceptional and we are wishing them all the best for tonight.”
The Irish Film and Television Awards will broadcast on Virgin Media tonight at 10pm.
