Local TD calls on government to intervene in rail dispute ahead of All Ireland finals

A local TD has said that it’s time the government intervenes to help resolve the dispute between Irish Rail and its employees.

Kilkenny TD John McGuinness says he would like to see the dispute  end before the planned strike on the day of the All Ireland Hurling final.

The NBRU and SIPTU agreed to talks at the Labour Relations Commission in a meeting betweeen the unions and the company on Saturday with talks expected to resume on Monday

The Fianna Fail TD says the government are reluctant to get involved.
