A Kilkenny Carlow TD has expressed her worry at the ongoing difficulties being experienced by workers at Dan Morrissey’s.
Labour Deputy Ann Phelan made the comments as last gasp attempts are still being made to save 160 jobs at the Carlow company.
Workers Union SIPTU told KCLR News on Friday that the receivers of Dan Morrissey’s have been instructed to sell off the company’s assets and contracts.
Deputy Phelan says that it’s a huge disappointment to see what is happening but insists it is out of the Government’s remit to do anything about it.
