Local TD John McGuinness calls for John McNulty to withdraw his name from Seanad by election

A local Fianna Fail TD has said that John McNulty should withdraw his name from the Seanad by election.

Deputy John McGuinness’ comment comes after the controversy surrounding Fine Gael’s appointment of John McNulty to the board of the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

The Fine Gael candidate for the forthcoming Seanad by-election stepped down from the board on Thursday.

The Carlow Kilkenny TD and Chairperson of the Public Accounts committee says that Cronyism has continued in this government.
