Local horse trainer, Emmett Mullins is celebrating after yesterdays Irish Grand National win
Soldier In Milan stormed home to victory with a late charge after the final fence seeing him go several lengths clear with Kilmacow jockey Donagh Meyler on board.
It was a comfortable win for the nephew of Carlow legend Willie Mullins horse in yesterdays feature race at Fairyhouse,
Mullins said they will celebrate the win. “Yeah, it’s special. It’s hard to believe really.”
“We were pinching ourselves the whole way around for the second circuit. It was so smooth and no, thankfully it just was very good and it’s just, pinch yourself stuff.”
“We have plenty of plans for the rest of the week, but no, we’re definitely going to celebrate this. It’s hard to put it into words.”
