Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe has cut the ribbon on a very important stretch of road opening in North Kilkenny this morning.
The long awaited Road realignment at Ballynaslee just north of Ballyragget is being declared officially open.
The 2km realigngment scheme which cost 4.5 million euro addresses the huge safety concerns for locals living in the area close to the busy Glanbia plant.
Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny county council Mary Hilda Cavanagh told KCLR news they had a long wait for this.
