Carlow ploughman Eamonn Tracey is to get a hero’s welcome when he returns home today.
The Garryhill man was runner-up at the World Ploughing Championships in Kenya last weekend while his Ireland team-mate John Whelan won gold in his class.
The pair are due to fly into Dublin at half past 11 this morning and will then travel to Carlow for a reception at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel at half-two.
President of the National Ploughing Association James Sutton says he’s expecting at big turn out at the Airport as well as the reception itself.
