A major new solar energy project has been approved for the outskirts of Kilkenny City.
The Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB) has secured permission to install a 600-kilowatt ground-mounted solar array at Joinersfolly.

Spanning over 2,600 square meters, the green energy project will be rolled out in two phases over the next five years.
