Major power outage in County Carlow town affecting over 1,700 customers

More than 1,700 customers have been left without electricty following a power fault in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow this afternoon.

The fault was reported at around 3:45pm, with 1,706 homes and businesses affected by the disruption.

Repair crews are working to restore the issue and restore electricty supplies as quickly as possible.

The estimated restoration time is given as 5pm this evening, but is subject to change.
