Carlow Gardaí have seized a large quantity of stolen property during the arrest of a man yesterday.
The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion breaking into 7 cars, stealing a number of them and also in relation to burglaries that occurred in Carlow Town.
Among the items recovered during the arrest were a black sat nav, a black Pixi Alcatel mobile phone, a round vanity mirror in a velvet holder and a number of jewellery items.
They’re currently in Carlow Garda Station and Gardaí are looking to reunite the items with their owners.
Speaking to KCLR, Sergeant John Foley says the car thefts were mainly crimes of opportunity as each of the cars had been left unlocked.
