Gardaí have arrested a man in relation to a serious hit-and-run incident in Kilkenny on Saturday night. The driver of the vehicle was arrested yesterday afternoon and questioned at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He was subsequently released, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The collision occurred on the Dublin Road at approximately 10:30 PM. A male pedestrian was injured when he was struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.
The injured man is in Beaumont Hospital and is described as critical but stable.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
