Man arrested and charged with drugs offence in Kilkenny

One person was arrested in Kilkenny City yesterday afternoon in relation to a drugs offence.

The 19-year-old male was arrested at Ballybough Street shortly after 4 o’clock following a search of a car which turned up a quantity of cannabis worth an estimated €500.

He was detained at Kilkenny Garda Station and charged with possession of a controlled drug for sale or supply under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
