A man has been arrested following a fire at St Dympna’s Hospital in Carlow yesterday.
The fire broke out shortly before 1 am and the local fire service remained on the scene until 5.30 yesterday morning.
A technical examination was carried out.
Carlow Gardaí then arrested a man who was held for questioning and charged overnight to appear before the courts today in relation to criminal damage.
