A man in his 30s has been charged in connection with a fatal assault in Waterford city.
It happened at a house in Grange Heights on Monday evening.

A woman in her 40s was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where she subsequently died.
A man was arrested at the scene.

He will appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court at 7:30pm this evening.
Meanwhile, a vigil organised by the local community will be held tonight for Yveta Donovalova.
It will take place in Grange Heights in the John’s Hill area of Waterford city at 7:30pm.
The Mother of three has been described as a much-loved part of the community, known for her kindness, warmth and friendly spirit.
