A man has died following a single vehicle road crash in Co. Wexford.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene involving a car, that occurred on the L4007 at Maudlin’s Cross, near New Ross, Co. Wexford, this afternoon at approximately 1.10pm.
The male driver of the car (aged in his 60’s) was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the coroner has been notified.
The road was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L4007 near New Ross, Co. Wexford, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí at New Ross Garda Station.
