Man in his 50s hospitalised following serious assault in Carlow

Gardai are appealing for information what they’ve called a serious assault on two men in Carlow in the early hours of Monday 2^nd February 2026..

A male (aged in his 50’s) attended Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise for treatment of serious injuries. A male (aged in his 20’s) is also reported to have received injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
