Man to appear in court following double assault in Kilkenny on Friday

Kilkenny Gardaí arrested an intoxicated man in the city last night after a couple alerted them to an assault they had witnessed.

Two people were taken to the station after allegedly being struck, and statements were later taken from all involved.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of assault and two public order offences and will appear before Kilkenny District Court.
