McGuinness says Carlow councillor would be an excellent candidate for Fianna Fail in by-election

Deputy John McGuinness says Carlow Councillor Jennifer Murnane O’ Connor would be an excellent candidate for Fianna Fail in the upcoming local bye election.

The backing of the influential Kilkenny TD will be crucial to securing the party nomination for the election next year to replace Phil Hogan after his departure to the EU Commission.

Deputy McGuinness says the Carlow councillor ticks a lot of boxes.

And he told KCLR he was particularly impressed by her strong vote in the last general election.
