McGuinness says clarification needed regarding bugging of the Garda Ombudsman office

John McGuinness says the clarification needed in relation to the alleged bugging of the Garda Ombudsman office is not happening quick enough.

The Carlow Kilkenny TD who chairs the public accounts committee says an independent inquiry is essential to provide that clarification.

151 allegations were made in the Kilkenny Carlow Garda Division in 2012 and 57 up to May of last year.

Deputy McGuinness says they and others need to be assured that their information hasn’t been compromised.
