John McGuinness says if everything contained in an extensive dossier given to the Dail committee he chairs is true, then its very explosive.
The 30 page document received by public accounts committee last week under the protected disclosure act details allegations of substantial tax evasion over an extended period of time involving, among others, senior politicians.
The senior civil servant who has provided the information to the committee also maintains that various ministers over recent years and a number of State agencies failed to fully investigate the allegations.
Deputy McGuinness says they will be getting legal advice about it this week.
