Medieval and Renaissance tombs at St Mary’s Church in Kilkenny open to the public today

The Medieval and Renaissance tombs at St Mary’s Church in Kilkenny are opening to the public today for the first time, but only for the day.

The ongoing restoration project there is aiming to bring the tombs back to their former glory and is opening the work as part of Kilkenny’s ‘Medieval Week’.

Brian Tyrrell from the local authority says they want people to see their work to date.
