Meeting about Leighlinbridge wind farm proposals tonight

A public meetings taking place tonight in Leighlinbridge to discuss proposals to put a wind turbine farm in the area.

A planning application from Galetech energy has gone into the council in recent weeks for 21 wind turbines and other works in Knocknabranagh, Knockbaun, The Ridge, Bawnree and Lacken.

The meeting is on in the Leighlinbridge Parish Centre at 8 clock.

Tyrone Kelly is part of a group opposing the plans; he says it’s not just the sight of the turbines that people are against.
