Carlow County Council has an new Interim Chief Executive.
Kathleen Holohan is stepping down after seven years in the job after making the surprise announcement in May.
Michael Rainey will be taking over until a permanent CEO is appointed.
He’s currently Director of Services for Corporate – HR, Planning, Health & Safety, Economic Development.
He only joined Carlow County Council in December 2019 from Laois.
