We’re in for a mild and cloudy few days across Carlow and Kilkenny for Christmas.
That’s according to local forecaster, Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather.
He says temperatures will begin to rise following todays rain…
“That milder air will arrive behind that rain so turn in milder in the west and then in the east. So then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Christmas day and Christmas day, it’s going to be mainly cloudy with a little bit of patchy drizzle here and there, not much wind, unusually mild.
“The nights will be mild as well, so no worry about Santa, he will get around with no problem, no storms, so cloudy
milder, not too windy that’s pretty much it for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so all good.
“It does look like there is a good chance of a colder start to the New Year. It’s a bit uncertain yet but the weather models are starting to show us some cold air returning.”
