Minister Malcolm Noonan is in Carlow today visiting a number of biodiversity projects.
He’s due to stop off at Powerstown Stream and the Civic Amenity Site, Hare’s Corner in Old Leighlin and Bagenalstown.
But the first destination is St Patrick’s College, as Environmental Awareness Officer with the county council Shane Casey outlines:
“There is a lovely edible pollinator patch in St. Patrick’s College. Some people may have noticed Larry busy planting over the last little while. It’s a fantastic little completely edible pollinator patch. So it’s food for ourselves and food for bees laid out in a Celtic knot design.”
