Minister says economic recovery is slower in Carlow

The Minister for employment, community and social supports is in Carlow today meeting people involved in the local Labour activation schemes.

Over 600 people in the county are on the FAS type work schemes and Minister Kevin Humphreys is visiting Leighlinbridge improvement scheme, St Lazarians House and Bagenalstown family resource centre.

He says the economic recovery is slow coming to Carlow and the counties decease in unemployment is slower than the rest of the country.
