Money finally promised for new fire station in Graiguenamanagh

The Kilkenny Fire Chief says a new fire station for Graiguenamanagh has been ‘a long time coming.’

Plans were submitted back in 2008 and yesterday 1.1 million euro was promised to provide a brand new facility in the area.

John Collins says it will mean better access and improved training facilities for the fire-fighters there.

Meanwhile Carlow Fire Service is getting a new fire engine. They have been allocated 300 thousand euro for the new appliance.
