There is a mood for political change in Carlow and Kilkenny.
That’s according to local Sinn Fein councillor Kathleen Funchion.
Her comments come after results from a Milward Brown opinion poll indicates an increase in support for Sinn Fein, Greens and Independents.
The results of the poll, published in the Sunday Independent, show Fine Gael is down 3 points to 27 per cent, Labour’s dropped 4 points to 8 per cent and Fianna Fáil drops 5 points to 21 per-cent.
The Kilkenny councillor says her party is canvassing in Carlow and Kilkenny at the moment and people are looking for alternatives to the three main political parties.
