Local horse trainer Willie Mullins has admitted he is anxious about the welfare of his own animals in the run up to Cheltenham in light of recent alleged doping cases in Irish racing.
The Champion trainer told The Guardian newspaper he has warned his staff to be vigilant, fearing his horses may be ‘nobbled’ with sedatives before next weeks festival.
Mullins also expressed his surprise that the Irish Turf Club is not doing more to tackle the issues.
