Multi-million euro investment for rural Ireland launched at Ploughing Championships

Rural Affairs Minister and Carlow Kilkenny TD Ann phelan has launched a multi million euro investment in Rural Ireland at the Ploughing championships this morning.

The 30 million euro scheme will support the revitalisation of rural towns and villages and will be rolled out over 6 years from 2016.

It will be channelled through the local authorities and should see upgrade works carried out in parks and public areas, improved access to amenities, renovation of derelict buildings and the regeneration of disused sites.
