Murphy: Plenty of options ready to step in for injured Tyrrell

Paul Murphy says there are plenty of options for who’ll step in to replace Jackie Tyrrell on Sunday Week.

Village defender Tyrrell had surgery on Wednesday after fracturing a bone in his foot and is definitely out of the All Ireland Semi-Final against Waterford on August 9th.

Danesfort man Murphy  says the way the Brian Cody runs their training matches, with no set positions or traditional ‘A vs B’, means that players are always ready for whatever tactical switches the opposition might throw at them – which is interesting in terms of how they’ll handle Waterford’s defensive system.

But every man is also ready to come on from the bench or move position at any given moment.
