Music Generation programme to be rolled out in Kilkenny

Hundreds of thousands of euro has been promised to deliver an exciting project in Kilkenny.

Music Generation, which was previously rolled out in Carlow, is now coming to Kilkenny too after a successful application to the programme that is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds and the Department of Education.

It’ll provide access to music tuition for children and young people around the county.

The County Council and Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board was involved in the application made by Kilkenny Music Education partnership.

Chairman Peter Cleere says the success of the Carlow programme was a big help to their application.
