“My heart is so full” says American woman who recalls meeting future husband at gig in Kilkenny

Two Americans who fell in love after a chance meeting in Kilkenny have had something of a reunion with the strangers who played a part in their path to marriage.

Emily from New Jersey and Jason from outside Philadelphia had separately travelled to Ireland and popped into Kilkenny Crafts on Rose Inn Street seventeen years ago where they were advised by owner Brian Martin to check out live music that night at Paris Texas.

The couple returned to our city last Sunday to reveal how they’d since gotten married and on The KCLR Daily told their tale while being reintroduced to those who unwittingly played a part in their journey and also Davey Cashin of The Kilkennys which provided the soundtrack on the night they met;
