The National Heritage Week Awards are taking place in Kilkenny this afternoon.
They’ll honour the work done by people throughout National Heritage week in 2015.
It’s the first year that the Awards will give a Heritage Hero Award, celebrating someone who has made an outstading contribution to the protection of heritage in Ireland.
The awards get under way at the Heritage Council’s offices at 12 o’clock.
