Businesswomen, industry experts and representatives from a number of supporting organisations are gathering at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow today to mark National Women’s Enterprise Day.
This year marks two decades of the event and is coordinated by Carlow and Kilkenny’s Local Enterprise Offices (LEO)s, focusing on the overall theme of “Making it Happen”.
The programme includes three different panels of speakers, with female entrepreneurs from Carlow and Kilkenny, sector specialists in technology and marketing and representatives from LEO, local chambers of commerce and Network Ireland.
Things kick off just before noon today and will run into this afternoon, more details can be found here.
Dearbhla O’Dwyer from the LEO in Carlow told KCLR News that the event allows attendees to network, connect with each other and to get words of wisdom.
“It’s really all about meeting someone new in the room, you never know how they can support your business or how you can support theirs”.
“As well as taking those established friendships and connections forwards into the years to come”.
