New Council CEO wants members to prioritise Leader funding investment for benefit of local communities

The new Chief executive of Kilkenny county council wants to ensure that 7.8 million euro in Leader funding is invested for the benefit of local communities.

Collette Byrne addressed members at yesterdays monthly meeting telling them their main objective should be to ensure the funding is invested in the most effective and efficient manner.

KCLR revealed recently how Kilkenny Leader Partnership and the County Kilkenny local development committee are both bidding against each other to deliver the programme

The new CEO says its unfortunate they cannot reach agreement on it.
