The new Junior Minister from the Carlow Kilkenny constituency says she’s ‘absolutely astounded and incredibly grateful’ for the many hundreds of messages she’s received following her appointment.
An Taoiseach Micheál Martin yesterday handed Jennifer Murnane O’Connor the Department of Health portfolio for Special Responsibility for Public Health, Well Being and the National Drugs Strategy.
While her constituency and party colleague John McGuinness is seemingly in the running to share the Leas Ceann Comhairle role with Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan.
