Newbridge cutlery to close county Kildare production facility in april

Newbridge Cutlery is stop producing silvery-plated cutlery and tableware at its County Kildare factory.

The facility will cease operations on April 10th, after several years of falling sales and reduced demand for its products, according to the company.

11 people are employed at the factory, and those affected have been notified today.

The company says the decision will not affect the broader Newbridge Silverware business, which will continue to operate as normal.
