Kilkenny has missed out on the title of ‘Foodie Town’ for 2015.
The Marble City had been named as one of the top 10 finalists for this year’s event.
The overall winner of the competition – run by the Restaurants Association of Ireland – was The Burren, with Derry coming in second place.
Organisers say the standard of applications this year was of the highest order and that reaching the Top 10 alone is a real achievement.
