Carlow people have been expressing their shock and outrage at the demolition of a building over the weekend.
On Saturday No. 25 Dublin Street, known as Murray’s Sweetshop was demolished – it’s understood without any warning.
According to Carlow County Councillors, no planning permission was granted for any works on the site.
But Councillor Fergal Browne, says he and his colleagues certainly never heard anything about planned works there.
