It won’t be a white Christmas this year.
Thats according to Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather who says this festive period will be good with “no storms, no wind, and no rain”.
It’s set to be cool and dry with some good sunny spells from Christmas Eve right up until New Year’s Eve, as high pressure settles in.
When it comes to New Year’s Eve, Alan says there is a chance of colder air.
“Probably talking about highs of only three to seven degrees and while it won’t snow there might be a frost to give some areas at least a little festive look of a light covering a frost.”
“So you’re looking at temperatures getting down to maybe minus two minus three degrees.”
