The Eclectic Light Programme

Interview – ¡NO!

¡NO! is a New Psychedelic direct improv band co-founded in 2013 by Fergus Cullen, Jamie Davis, L Ron Cupboard and Graham Montgomery.

They play music that is not possible to parcel off in to genres and their influences are wide. In their own words:

“Performances are usually accompanied by customized found image projections. ¡NO! members have previously joined forces with diverse experimental musicians including Damo Suzuki (CAN), Glenn Branca (Sonic Youth, Theoretical Girls) and Itaru Oki (ESSG).”

It’s a heady mix, never repeats itself and is a totally live and once off experience every time.

They play the Bridgebrook Arms in Thomastown on Saturday August 9th.

They currently curate the monthly Concrete Soup New Psych Afternoons Residency at the Twisted Pepper in Dublin and they will be releasing a debut double live album in late 2014.
