A number of members are to boycott Kilkenny county councils celebration of Phil Hogan this week.
A civic reception is being hosted by the local authority in honour of the EU Agriculture Commissioner this Friday.
But Sinn Fein members say they wont be there.
Independent Councillor Breda Gardner is the latest member to say she will not be going either.
