Oil Spill reported in Tullow as clean up and traffic controls put in place

An oil spill has occurred on the road from the Bang-Up Cross to Ballon via the townsland of Cunnaberry.

Tullow Municipal District staff are on the way to the scene and will have the area affected treated and restored to safe use as soon as possible.

Traffic Management will be in place while the clean-up works are being carried out.  Motorists who intend to use the aforementioned road are advised to plan their journey accordingly taking into account possible delays or alternatively advised to take an alternate route in the short term.
