Some locally-linked Olympians are still in with chances of bringing home wins from France.
Wexford’s Sophie Becker, who’s mother Tina Cody is originally from Kilkenny city, goes in the 4 x 400m relay round one at 9:30am this (Friday) morning with team mates Kelly McGrory, Phil Healy and Sharlene Mawdsley.
While just after 5pm, Carlow born and Wicklow based Lara Gillespie with cycling partner Alice Sharpe will race against 14 teams in the Women’s Madison Final.
Rhasidat Adeleke winds off the Irish action from 7pm while other Team Ireland athletes are out at points across the day.
