One man bailed and another still in custody following Leighlinbridge Post Office robbery

One man is still in custody and another released on bail following Saturday’s robbery of a local Post Office.

Staff in Leighlinbridge were threatened by a man who made off with a sum of money just before 10 o’clock on Saturday morning.

That evening two men were taken into custody by Carlow Gardaí while a third evaded arrest.

The two arrested appeared in Carlow Court yesterday evening where one of them was remanded in custody and the other was released on bail.

Both are due back before the court in the coming days.
